About Matter of Balance:
Matter of Balance works to reduce falls and reframe the fear of falling as something controllable. The program emphasizes practical strategies to prevent and manage falls.
The group format provides an opportunity for people to learn from each other and to help each other manage the fear of falling.
Participants use a workbook and a home safety evaluation action planner to change their environment and reduce risk factors. Some sessions also include supervised exercise with goals for further increasing activity.
This class meets once a week for 2 hours for 8 weeks.
This is a FREE course!

Who should attend?
The class is designed for older adults who are able to problem solve and have concerns about falls or have a history of falls.
This class is sponsored by Fairview and Juniper, and hosted by Cherrywood Pointe of Forest Lake.
