Executive DirectorView bio
Sherry is passionately dedicated to supporting senior housing care choices, building teams and community. Sherry holds a M.A. Degree in Health and Human Service Administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. She has 15+ years of experience in the senior services industry. In her free time, Sherry enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, theater, music, and the arts with her family.
Outreach and Sales DirectorView Bio
Susan has been a marketing and sales director in the west metro for 15 years. Previous experience has included designing environments for aging and product management for an international health care furniture company. She has been involved in numerous associations and projects to support successful aging here in the Twin Cities and throughout the United States. “I’ve been fortunate to be able to contribute to enriching the lives of seniors for over 20 years,” said Susan. “It’s rewarding to assist someone in finding the right community or resource and then to see them flourish in their new home.” Susan enjoys music, arts and cultural events, as well as outdoor activities and travel.
Health Services DirectorView Bio
Alana started in healthcare right out of high school and has worked in numerous healthcare positions since, as an EMT, CNA, LPN and RN. (She also served in the Army as a police officer.) Born in Ada, Oklahoma, she moved to Minnesota in 2008 to further her education in healthcare. She worked at another assisted living facility for 10 years and also at the University of Minnesota Hospital. Alana enjoys working with seniors because, she says, “I have the most to learn from them.” She likes to advocate for their needs so they can live the best life possible. Alana loves movies, books, football (#Go PACK Go) and baseball, and she has two dogs who take up “all of my extra free time”.
Activity DirectorView bio
Carolyn loves making people smile and bringing them joy through engaging activities. Her professional career started as a teacher for 21 years. Then, she went from being a volunteer in a senior community to a part-time assistant to being a Life Enrichment Director at two previous sites. She and her husband have three children and a dog named Tucker. She enjoys making cards and walking around “the Lakes”. She is very excited about partnering with residents to make their lives fulfilling and rewarding.
Culinary DirectorView bio
Christie has been with Cherrywood Pointe since October. She has a passion for serving delicious food with a “servitude attitude”. She is looking forward to this new journey in her career and to serving the community. She has a background in hotels and is excited to meet new residents and help them transition into their new lives at Cherrywood Pointe. Christie enjoys the outdoors, hiking, camping and fishing – and mud runs! She is really happy when she’s spending time with family and friends.
